Jesnitha Rani , hails from southern part of Tamil Nadu . Where she lives with her mother, father and son. Jesnitha got married at the age of 21; she suffered domestic violence from the day of her wedlock. The violence worsen day after day, she left to her parents place unable to bear the tortures from her husband. Both the parents tried to reconcile the couple, but to their despair they were contained to live only for 3 months. Jesnitha left her husband and she bore a son.
Jesnitha parent’s accommodated her and her son, her parent’s house sat near the dam where the major occupation is selling fish. Due to drought, the water in the dam were dry and they suffered to earn even to feed the family. Jesnitha‘s son struggled to complete his basic education, where he completed his high school and completed his polytechnic degree. Even after completing his education, he faced difficulties in finding a job. Families conditions and financial needs has made Jesnitha’s son to get a job in a nearby automobile showroom. And in the mean while he prepares himself to become police officer by studying for the exams.
Cow rearing, jesnitha‘s only occupation where she has bought calves and sold in better rates. Selling milk has been their only source of income. Jesnitha, for purchasing calf, she used to borrow money from the lenders for the high interest rates which indeed worsen her financial conditions.
Rural Institute of Community Health offered help for women beneficiaries to buy milk in cow, where Jesnitha has also been benefitted through this program. She has her financial stability where without any hassle she has been running her family.
