Institute for social awareness and rural development is a non-profit organization, which strives to empower poor people to lead better lives through mediums of education, welfare, sustainable livelihood and more. This organization was found by a group of likeminded youth in the year 1993. Institute for social awareness and rural development was established and registered as a non-profit organization under Tamilnadu Societies Registration Act 27 of 1975. In 2010, Jesuran Smith Stanley, a young social activist took over the organization in the dream of empowering women and children
Ever since its conception in 1993, Institute for social awareness and rural development has strived to put together innovative programs and techniques to help members of the society reach and live their true potential.
