Institute for social awareness and rural development is a non-profit organization, which strives to empower poor people to lead better lives through mediums of education, welfare, sustainable livelihood and more. This organization was found by a group of likeminded youth in the year 1993. Institute for social awareness and rural development was established and registered as a non-profit organization under Tamilnadu Societies Registration Act 27 of 1975. In 2010, Jesuran Smith Stanley, a young social activist took over the organization in the dream of empowering women and children
